Dr Poulson-Port was exactly what I was looking for in a new provider. Her reputation is stellar, and I am grateful to be under her care.
I'm big on preventive medicine but it seems that a physical, these days, it more a discussion rather than an actual physical.
I do not want to see a NoP, only the MD.
The doctor was more than an half hour late I was sitting in the room all the while. I just came for a Welcome to Medicare visit. They should know what's covered and not do extras. I'm sure I was charged for a lot more than that. Renewing meds. is an extra I was told. She told me things need to be done otherwise I would need to come back. I felt I was pushed into an exam which will probably not be covered by Medicare which next time I will refuse. I don't want an Advance Directive she gave me one anyway.
I can't believe Aurora sprung an NP on me with no notice. I was asked in the exam room by the CNA if it was "ok". I was already there. Did I have a choice? Then I could hear the NP discussing my case with the doctor right outside my door. That took 7 minutes - I was right there - what's the point of a patient talking to the NP, only to hear the entire conversation repeated, and then to have it again with the doc? This is time saver? Frankly, (nothing personal with the NP) is was of no value to me. Further, if a big change like that is being made, I think it would be courteous to let patients know by mail. That's not a strong suit of Aurora given how patient notification works so poorly when doctors leave. I love my doc, but left feeling that this appointment was a cattle call.
I always have all my questions answered when I see the Doctor. She is very caring, and also checks in with me between appointments.
My care was excellent
She is one of the best doctors in our area.
