It is no longer healthcare it is sick care take this pill see you later. Prescribing medication rather than identifying alternative treatments is criminal. My cholesterol was unusually elevated for the first time in my life and the first thing the doctor does is prescribe a statin? What kind of patient care is that? The days of a physician taking time with a patient are long gone .patients are numbers and shuttled in and out as quickly as possible. Doctors used to be a "trusted" mentor that is no longer true.
