My experience with Dr. Celik was great, and I'd be happy to recommend him to others. However, my call to make the appointment was ridiculous. I called the number for the Menomonee Falls,WI clinic, but somehow I ended up with, what I believe was, a generic Aurora nurseline. I had a fever, catch in my lungs and some trouble taking in a full breath. These are not wild and crazy symptoms for someone with asthma; all I wanted to do was see my provider, or someone else in his area if he was booked, to be sure I wasn't starting pneumonia. I made this phone call myself, explained to the nurse that I was calling from work, and used full and complete sentences. I believe she asked me close to 100 screening questions concluding with a recommendation that I go to the ER. I had assured her that I was in no acute distress. I told her there was no way I was going to the ER for this. She confirmed that was my choice and made the appointment with Dr. Celik. When she told me his address I questioned who I was talking to since I called the Menomonee Falls clinic, so, of course the doctor would be at that clinic. She explained that when the clinic is busy, the phone calls get picked up by others in Aurora. This phone call was a waste of my time and hers, did not take into account a patient's knowledge of themselves and almost had me hanging up to instead go to a private medical practice in our area. I do NOT in any way blame this nurse for this event. I'm quite certain she was going through a mandatory list of questions required by Aurora. I am in charge of my healthcare; I am Aurora's customer, the providers there are supposed to help ME with MY healthcare. Thankfully, Dr. Celik did exactly that. When I call to make a doctor's appointment, I expect that call to take just a few moments. I will not stay on the line for that type of intensive screening, just to schedule an appointment, again.
